Kota Kinabalu. Pronounced ( Kota Kina Bala ) is the
capital of Sabah one of the states of Malaysia. The city
is located on the northwest coast of Borneo facing the
South China Sea. The Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park
lies on one side and Mount Kinabalu is nearby. Kota
Kinabalu proper has a population of approx 620,000
whilst the larger urban area has a population of
900,000.
Kota Kinabalu is also known as KK both locally and
internationally, it is a major tourist destination and
gateway for travellers visiting Sabah & Borneo. |
