Eating in K.L or any foreign country can be a bit disconcerting especially if you have no idea as to what you are eating. No problem there as June is a local lass and she can advise on dishes that my suit your taste buds. A popular breakfast treat in Malaysia is roti ( Malay for bread ) roti can be made with a variety of fillings here are some of the popular ones.

Roti Pisang ( banana ) Roti Kaya ( a local sweet spread ) Roti Telur ( egg ) Roti chani ( plain) & last of all Roti Tissue. Roti tissue is a thin crispy version of roti canai, for something more substantial try an ayam (chicken ) or lamb murtabak. The  Malaysian version of french  crepe & cooked with either meat, curry, onions & some other veg, all very very nice!. For those a little more adventurous try the rendang.

Rendang is usually made from beef ( occasionally form chicken, mutton, water buffalo or duck ) the meat is slowly cooked in coconut milk  & spices for several hrs, allowing it to absorb the spices & give you a flavour packed meal. This is one of my favourite Malaysian dishes.

When stayng with us at junes apartment Kuala Lumpur you really are spoilt for choice when it come to food, we have cafe's for western food, curry houses, malay food stalls, chinese restaurants, middle eastern food, in fact we have the fussiest of eaters stay with and still find something to their taste.
